Biography: Kim Crosby, CustomerClix Ltd

Kim Crosby established CustomerClix to provide communications, marketing and research services to customer-focused businesses. Communications in this context includes industry analyst relations (for technology-related companies) and public speaking training and services (for anyone in any organisation).

Kim began her career working in the travel and tourism sector the changed industries, working for Vickers Defence Systems (now BAE Combat Vehicles), high-technology designers and manufacturers of Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs).

She subsequently worked at Electroman LLC in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

Since returning to the UK, Kim has led Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). Then worked as an industry analyst at the Hewson Group as a Consultant at European Services, IDC  (prior to establishing CustomerClix).

Kim has a BA(Hons) from the University of Sunderland (achieved via attending night school) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Imperial College, University of London.

She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (and, thus, is a Chartered Marketer); is a Member of the Institute of Analyst Relations; and is a Member of the Anglo-Omani Society.

She was nominated for a BlackBerry Women in Technology Award for the first to market   AnalystClix: Forthcoming analyst publications and events' databases.

Kim is a Member of   Toastmasters International, a global organisation devoted to the art of public speaking and leadership. Consequently she is an Advanced Communicator Gold (ACG); is a Past President of London Corinthians Toastmasters Public Speaking club; and was Runner Up in the UK & Ireland Public Speaking Championships.

And, after much arm twisting, Kim dabbles in stand up comedy.

In a voluntary capacity, Kim is (1) Past Chair of Carers Action for the Carers Network Westminster (a charity and regional centre for Carers Trust, previously known as the Princess Royal Trust for Carers); and (2) is involved in the 'Supporting Carers in General Practice (GP)' initiative for the Royal College of GPs (RCGPs).

Kim has delivered speeches about the issues faced by unpaid carers to conferences held by NHS England (‘Commitment to Carers’) and the Psychiatric Liaison Accreditation Network (PLAN) group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

And delivered talks about Inspiring People.
